Teacher Training
Our Teacher Training Program is currently under development. Students interested in teaching at the Yoga Shack must attend the following:
Advanced Study Workshops
We'll have ongoing monthly advanced study workshops on
Saturday afternoons. These workshops will be open to all
students and will cover important topics such as anatomy,
philosophy, and yoga techniques. Some of these will be
discussion groups and some will incorporate yoga practice.
Teaching Techniques
We will have several workshops covering topics pertinent
to teachers, such as adjusting, speaking, and
demonstrating. Students will take an active part in these
workshops, practicing the different techniques. Students
must complete the primary series in Mysore practice
sessions before attending this workshops.
Practicuum
Students who complete the Teaching Techniques workshops may schedule practicuum sessions. These include teaching practice classes, doing adjustments in Mysore practice sessions, and teaching led classes with supervision.
